The Electoral Commission has released a second set of official presidential results, now based on returns from 22,758 polling stations nationwide.
According to the latest tally, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni continues to lead with 3,960,438 votes, representing 76.25 percent of the votes counted so far.
He is followed by Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, who has secured 1,312,047 votes, accounting for 19.85 percent.
Nathan Nandala Mafabi stands at 2.08 percent, while Mugisha Muntu has 0.57 percent of the votes.
The remaining candidates each have less than one percent as counting continues.
These figures are preliminary and based on results received so far.
