Youth elections in several parts of Kampala have been marred by allegations of widespread malpractice and irregularities. The process has been characterized by counter-accusations, with some candidates reportedly removed from the voters’ registers. In other areas, there have been allegations of hired goons disrupting the elections and taking control of polling centres.
