Born Jennifer Namutebi Nakangubi in Masaka District, Jennifer Full Figure’s story is one of grit and transformation. Orphaned by age six, she hustled from the streets of Kampala to gain national recognition as a bold and unapologetic voice in Uganda’s music scene.
Her hit song “Mukyakale” catapulted her to fame in the early 2000s, with a raw lyrical style that resonated with ordinary Ugandans. Over time, she transitioned from music to farming, rearing pigs and growing crops—a reflection of her resilience and entrepreneurial mindset.
Politically, Full Figure made headlines when she switched allegiance from Bobi Wine’s People Power Movement to become a vocal mobilizer for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM). Her move sparked controversy, with critics accusing her of opportunism. Nonetheless, her ability to remain relevant in Uganda’s often turbulent political waters speaks volumes about her adaptability and influence.
Justine Nameere, on the other hand, took a more polished route to the top. With a law degree in hand, she rose to national fame in 2012 as the host of “Life Stories” on NTV Uganda. Her warm yet probing interviews made her a household name. After leaving NTV, she launched her own production projects across stations like Bukedde TV, Salt TV, and NBS.
Her crowning media achievement came in 2021 with the launch of TM TV (Tusimbudde TV), the first television station in Greater Masaka and the first in Uganda owned by a young woman.
In the political arena, Nameere’s ambitions became official when President Museveni appointed her Senior Presidential Advisor for Greater Masaka Affairs in 2021. A vocal supporter of the NRM, she’s often praised for her strategic thinking and loyalty, even referring to Museveni as her “role model.”
Her personal life has also been a topic of public interest. She married businessman Kennedy Nsubuga in 2024 and welcomed a baby girl the same year, balancing her family life with her public obligations.
