H.E. Bobi Wine heads to Kasese, and the scenes on the ground are unbelievable, what is happening here is beyond politics — it is history repeating itself, but this time the people refuse to bow to fear.
Kasese, a region that has suffered decades of state violence, massacres, and brutal repression, has risen once again to show the nation that the spirit of the people cannot be killed.
From the Kasese Massacre of 2016, to years of military occupation, torture, and intimidation — the people of this region know oppression better than most Ugandans. Yet today, they stand tall.
Across the district, thousands poured into the streets, flooding every road, every trading centre, every hill and valley — waiting to see H.E. Bobi Wine, the man they now call “the voice of the oppressed.”
This is a region that has always loved him — not because of politics — but because his message speaks directly to their pain, their history, and their long struggle for dignity.
Despite heavy military deployment, soldiers blocking roads, police stopping vehicles, and security attempting to prevent crowds from gathering,
the people of Kasese defied every intimidation tactic.
They waved, they cheered, they ran beside the convoy — some even climbing rooftops just to catch a glimpse of Bobi Wine.
The regime tried everything:
🚫 Blocking junctions
🚫 Stopping boda bodas
🚫 Surrounding towns with military trucks
🚫 Ordering people not to stand by the roadside
But the people refused.
From Mpondwe to Kasese town, from Hima to Kikorongo, to every village along the route — the roads were overflowing.
Mothers carried babies, elders stood in the scorching sun, youths marched with determination, shouting:
“Bobi! Bobi! Our President! People Power!”
Today, Kasese has spoken loudly:
No amount of fear or guns can stop a people who have decided it is time for change.
This is Day 63 of the campaign trail — and the message is clear:
Uganda’s revolution is already in motion.
