Day 65 of the historic campaign takes H.E. Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi deep into Rubaga South and Rubaga North—two constituencies that represent the true heartbeat of Kampala’s resistance, survival, and courage. These are communities built by workers, hustlers, youth, mothers, and elders who have carried the weight of injustice for decades yet refused to surrender their dignity.
From early morning, streets, trading centers, junctions, and rooftops fill with people waiting to catch a glimpse of Bobi Wine, chanting his name, raising the red colors, and sending one unmistakable message: the people are ready for change. Every handshake, every chant, every raised fist is an act of defiance against fear.
Despite heavy police and military deployment, intimidation, and constant attempts to suppress public gatherings, the People Power wave refuses to slow down. Supporters line the roads, escort the convoy, and block out threats with courage and unity. Rubaga rises not as spectators, but as participants in history.
This is not just another campaign day.
It is a reaffirmation of the people’s resolve, a declaration that Kampala will not be silenced, and a reminder that power belongs to the people—not the gun.
Rubaga South and Rubaga North have spoken.
